Late one evening our rescue helpline rang. A young dog had been hit by a vehicle near Vyttila junction and was lying by the roadside, unable to stand. Two passers-by stayed with him, kept the traffic away and gave him water until our team arrived with a stretcher and a blanket.
At our partner clinic the vet found a fractured hind leg and several wounds. After surgery he spent six weeks recovering in a foster home, where volunteers changed his dressings, fed him and gave him plenty of belly rubs.
Today he runs, plays and wags his tail at everyone he meets, and he is waiting for a loving family to take him home.
"Every rescued dog reminds us why we do this. All it takes is one person who stops to help."

Your donations made every step of his recovery possible: rescue transport, X-rays, surgery, medicines, vaccination and weeks of foster care. He is now healthy and ready for adoption.
So happy to see him running again! Thank you to everyone who helped.
This made my day. Is he still available for adoption?
Amazing work by the team and the people who stopped to help him.
